Description:
NSN, .50 CF, 36 5/8" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a barely noticeable amount of freckling within the grooves. This is a nice gun that retains 50-60% of the original blue finish on the breechblock assembly, with the balance having faded to a mottled plum-brown patina with gray along the edges. The remainder of the metal has a dull gray patina with patches of darkly mottled brown freckling throughout its length, and some mild pitting at the muzzle. The walnut stock is in fine plus condition with some scattered surface scratches and blemishes in the excellent original oil finish. The cartouches are still crisp and clear on the left side of the stock and the armory original oil finish displays nice raised grain within the structure of the wood. The rifle comes with a correct metal ramrod that has been broken off to 29". The musket rates very good plus condition overall. Antique
