These government inspected parts that did not pass strict Gov't inspection, where then assembled and sold on the civilian market.. (See" A Study of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver", by Kopec, Graham, and Moore.) Nice, original gun, with very good markings, excellent mechanics, all 4 clicks are solid, and very good to excellent bore. Bright blue still evident underneath the ejector housing. (see pics). Double stamped "4" on the barrel serial #, underneath the ejector housing, possibly why this barrel was condemned, and failed to pass the strict government inspection process. Correct, block barrel address, as found on early revolvers. Hard to find, rare variation, of an early Colt SAA revolver! Please ask questions if desired.
