Description:
This is a revolutionary period Navy hanger sword made by the renown Harvey brothers , marked with their names on the blade and the running fox motto of the family of sword makers from Birmingham England . The fluted handle has a silver medallion of a fouled anchor used by the British for centuries. The pommel is a pillow style from this period. This also has the five ball hand guard used by the Harvey and other sword makers of this period. There is no scabbard, most are missing from this period , and the grip has a tiny ,tiny burn that effects nothing, there are no nicks , blade is in above good condition, and all parts are tight.
