Description:
24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 22 Short caliber. Original sights include a folding Beachs combination front sight, typical insert rear sight and a Lyman folding tang sight. Bore would benefit from a good cleaning. Wood retains most original varnish. Correct rifle style buttplate with good traces of case color. Gun has about 90% bbl and mag blue. Receiver retains about 40% thinning case color. Traces of color on the hammer. Early antique serial number in the 20k range. Nice original hard to find gun.
