Description:
The barrel is octagon to round and marked London fine twisted. The muzzle is inlayed with a silver arrow and bead sight. Has a silver stripe at the octagon breech. The tang has a floral engraving and bird pattern. The lock is marked W. Jacot and has a floral and bird pattern.
W.Jacot was an active gunmaker around the 1830's in London. The stock also has silver inlay. The stock has an old copper stitch repair at the hand grip section. Butt plate and trigger guard also have engraving. Metal condition is fair with oxidation and dark patina on the iron. The stock is also fair with scratches and dings throughout.
Mechanically the lock works fine. The ram rod rail and holder have come loose and need repair.
Measures 48" in total length.
