WWII Dated “1944” SOVIET Mosin Nagant M91/30 Rifle

Here we present a Soviet Model 1891/1930 Mosin Nagant Carbine, made in 1944 at the Izhevsk arsenal during World War II. The Mosin Nagant has become iconic of the Soviet Union and the Eastern Front Theater of World War II. Built to be absolutely rugged and reliable, they are also powerful and hold a special place in collectors’ hearts.
The barrel is marked with a Soviet hammer and sickle inside a laurel, along with “1944”, the serial number, the Izhevsk arsenal mark and various proof and acceptance markings. The underside of the muzzle-end of the barrel is marked discreetly by the importer. The rear of the left side of the receiver is marked “KO-91/360”, “MADE IN RUSSIA”, and “7.62x54R”. Rear sight is graduated to 2000 meters.
The overall condition is near fine. This rifle has been arsenal refurbished. Blue finish is about 95%. The markings are clear and legible. The serial numbers match on the barrel, bolt, butt plate and magazine floor plate, though the floor plate was renumbered by electric pencil during refurbishment. Stock shows handling, but is overall smooth. The bore has strong rifling and is clean. The action is excellent. Here is a very nice World War II dated Mosin Nagant for your collection!
