Early rare special order rifle. 36 inch barrel, 1 and 3/16 width, 40 caliber. Engraved, checkered stock and silver inlays. Letter from John D. Baird, author of the "Hawken Book". Very good condition, one of the best of the few Hawken rifles known to exist. As a footnote, the most elaborate of all Hawken rifles sold for $109,250 October 17th 2017 . The rifle had a patchbox, 10 silver and 6 mother of pearl inlays. Great value for a rare and historic firearm. THE REDUCED PRICE IS IN EFFECT UNTIL THE FIRST OF MARCH.
