Colt New Service .455 Eley caliber revolver. Scarce North-West Mounted Police Colt New Service revolver. This is one of 700 New Service .455 Eley caliber revolvers shipped to the RNWMP in September 1904. Backstrap is marked NWMP 531. The “531” is the issue number and this revolver is listed on page 187 of Klanchers book Arms and Accoutrements of the Mounted Police along with the issue number 531. The bore is excellent and the action works perfectly. Gun has approximately 90% blue. The left side grip has a chip out of the bottom. Very good overall condition and hard to find “Mountie” gun.
