Since their inception some 50 years ago Ljutic shotguns have been renowned for shootability. Al Lutic's Mono gun design remains one of the most recognized and most durable designs of a single barrel trap gun. Crafted entirely in Yakima WA, the simplicity and few moving parts make truly designed to last a lifetime.
The classic Mono Gun is available in standard rib, medium rib and Olympic rib heights. This model has been the trap shooting standard for all manufactures since the early 70’s. Our Mono Gun barrels are .740 bore in 34” length and come with fixed choke or Ljutic Screw in Chokes. The Mono Gun comes standard with our latest pull trigger system, “McCarthy Trigger”. This trigger was designed with the help of All American Pat McCarthy to provide a more consistent and responsive pull for the demands of trapshooting. Release triggers available upon request for an additional up charge. All Mono Guns are hand crafted with 3A American or English walnut stocks. This gun is custom crafted to our dealer/customer specifications to last a life time.
Phil Miller became a good friend of the Ljutics and later influenced Al to design and build a better single-barrel trap gun than was popular at the time. Serious trapshooters of the era were winning with guns such as Parker, Ithaca and Purdey. The great new Ljutic “Mono Gun” was the result of Phil's influence.
This gun is in great functional condition and has very handsome wood. This gun would be a lifetime shooter.
