This BOLO is in super nice condition.
The gun retains about 96-97% of the original blue. The only loss is due to the usual silvering of the muzzle, the slide rails, some of the exposed sharp edges and some very slight thinning on the barrel. There are a couple of very slight rub marks on the bottom of the magazine.
There are no pits, rust or scratches to be found.
The gun is just a beauty. All numbers match. The hardwood 21 groove commercial grips are pristine and without any chips, splits or dings. They too are numbered to the gun and still have about 98% of the original factory lacquer. The grip straps have little or no sign of the usual toning. The grip screw is not marred.
The sight slide bar, extractor and breech block, again about 98-97% of the original fire blue. The slide and hammer are in the white with slight surface flaking.
The hammer is indeed marked NS in script designating "New Safety". The barrel is outstanding. The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling with not a touch of frost to be found.
My friends, it just doesn't get better than this at anywhere near this price. Scarce, famous and just wonderful condition......$3495.
