30" SxS dovetail-lump sleeved barrels with smooth concave rib and doll's head extension choked improved cylinder & improved modified. 14 5/8" pull from front trigger to brown rubber Decelerator recoil pad. 1 3/4" - 3" drop. 1/4" cast-off. Fully figured walnut stock with Scott's patent pushbutton-release splinter forend, round knob Prince-of-Wales grip, classic point-pattern checkering, and vacant gold shield atop the wrist. Finely engraved receiver with scenes of ducks, geese and egrets. With Scott's spindle third fastener, Patent crystal cocking indicators, intercepting sears, beaded fences, and manual top tang safety. Weight: 8lbs, 1oz. Built 1881. 30% casehardening colors on action. Action finished bright. 99% barrel blue. Trace of barrel movement with forend removed. Excellent bores. Including a copy of Crawford & Whatley, The History of W & C Scott, Gunmakers.
