Description:
Colt model 1849 31 caliber 5 shot revolver with 6 inch barrel. This gun is in near fine condition retaining most of its original case hardend finish on frame, hammer, and loading lever. Hand grips are fine Cond. with original varnish. Low serial number, 74265, 1853 production. All matching numbers. Barrel is smooth and free of any pitting with finish turning a little brown. bore is good with strong rifling but some pitting. Cylinder scene is worn somewhat having about 70%. left. In perfect working condition. Came from an old Pa. collection. I bought gun at a good price and offering at a lot less then most.
