The Colt Commercial Government Model 1911A1 was made from 1946 to 1970, with approximately 196,000 manufactured. The pistols were fitted with a 5 inch barrel, fixed sights, blue or nickel finished, "C" prefix serial numbers until 1950, "C" suffix after, and were chambered in .45 ACP. This 1966 vintage Government Model 1911A1 is as described and is blue finished. It is in excellent condition, retaining 98-99% of its original blue finish, with assorted minor handling marks/surface scratches. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly. Is fitted with stag grips, which fit well , and are in excellent condition. Sorry, no box or paper-work.
