Enfield Mk VI, Cal. 455/.22 short, Ser 143XX.
The Enfield MK VI is a rather rare gun. Especially in super fine condition with a very rare .22 short conversion unit. For those not familiar with the Enfield MVI history, be advised they were only made for about two years. The gun was originally patented by Webley a commercial manufacturer. Sometime around 1924 the government arsenal Enfield decided to make the gun. Webley sued and won. The Enfield arsenal had to stop production in 1926.
This gun in awesome condition retaining about 99.9+% of the arsenal finish. The only loss is an almost imperceptible amount of sharp edge silvering and that's about it. Not a scratch, rust spot or pinprick to be found. There is of course a hairline cylinder drag ring. All numbers match, the frame, cylinder and barrel. The recoil shield, cylinder face, chambers, and force cone show no evidence of use. The barrel like the rest of the gun is pristine.
The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling, not hint frost anywhere. The grips, like the rest of the gun are flawless. There is nothing to indicate that the gun has seen more than just test firing. Included is a very rare .22 short conversion system. Like the gun, the barrel, and cylinder in mint condition with the original box, instruction sheet, and adjustment tool. You will never make a more satisfying purchase.....$3695.
