The official crest of the Museum of the Confederacy is also featured, among a wedge of matching scrollwork. Highly detailed artwork of 24-karat gold with blackened patinaed accents adorn the Tribute’s frame, cylinder and barrel. The LeMat’s unique nine-shot cylinder holds the portraits of three of the confederate’s favorite sons – President of the Confederacy Jefferson Davis, famed Confederate General Robert E. Lee, and General J.E.B. Stuart, the Civil War’s most gallant Cavalry leader who, with his trusted LeMat Revolver, wreaked havoc upon Union Forces. The portraits of these brave leaders are captured in oval cameos and surrounded by flowing scrollwork and crossed rifles of the Confederate Infantry.
