Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 .22 Hornet
An extremely nice to exceptional Pre-64 Model 70 in highly desirable and scarce .22 Hornet. The rifle bears serial # 175357, circa 1951, and is virtually mint condition. It has been fired but the bore is excellent, bright and shiny. Rear sight assembly was removed in leu of scope installation at some point. Nice dovetail plug was installed. The front and hood remain. Rifle ships with the Redfield base visible in the pictures. Original blue finish is an easy 97-98% with only typical thinning at the edges. The rifles stock is gorgeous with a handsome warm red finish, unmolested 13 ½ LOP. Some very minor near invisible scratches that look worse in the photos than in person. This is a very hard to find rifle and would be a true appreciating investment for your collection.
