Truly the "Holy Grail" for the serious collector of higher grade Ithaca Model 37 shotguns, here is a breathtaking example of the seldom if ever seen NEW IN BOX Ithaca 37S Skeet Grade 12 Gauge bottom eject pump action shotgun! Great for right or left handed shooters.
26" Full choke Barrel with matted, ventilated rib and twin beads...(red up front and small white mid barrel).
2 3/4" Chamber. Serial #81443 indicates early post war production of 1946, but still incorporating pre war features and quality throughout. This collector's dream shotgun is in stone MINT condition with what appears to be a film of factory grease still on the barrel. It is believed that it has never even been assembled. It is remarkable to note that this piece has remained virtually blemish free for 72 years! The satin finished wood is of beautiful grain and color, with razor sharp, hand cut checkering. Also included is the original cardboard box with legible end label and the corrogated partition sheet inside, along with the original hang tag and original wooden magazine plug!
Not cheap, but you could hunt for the rest of your life trying to find a better specimen and not succeed.
