Description:
Serial #SH9769, .45-70, 34" heavy barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a truly handsome rifle that is in almost unused condition with practically all of the original blue remaining on the barrel, and a commensurate amount of original bright color case-hardening on the frame. The rifle features a spirit level globe front sight, flip-up vernier rear sight, gold inlay USA Shooting logo on the right side of the frame, and double-set triggers (please note: the trigger must be set in order to cock the rifle). The checkered walnut forend and pistol grip buttstock are likewise in excellent condition with hardly any more than a few negligible handling marks and small blemishes visible. The rifle is housed in a green canvas travel case with bright green baize lining and comes complete with two bullet mold tongs, a set of .45 caliber mold blocks, and a bore cleaning hosepipe. These are well-made modern Sharps rifles and would make a splendid addition to a collection or as a long-range target rifle. Also included is a large folder of documentation regarding the purchase of this particular rifle, as well as loading data for a selection of .45-70 handloads.
