This is a Winchester 1873 chambered in .44-40 and manufactured in 1875. This rifle has a 24'' round barrel and a bright shiny bore with some minor pitting and rust. This Winchester 1873 has all of its original parts. The metal on the gun has a nice patina to it and has no original finish remaining. This Winchester 1873 is a 1st model which features a sliding thumb print dust cover and a 1st model style mag tube. Overall the gun is in great condition.
