Description:
Parker Bros. 12 gauge lifter hammer gun built in 1878.This gun is in remarkable condition for a 140 year old gun.It retains around 60% of the original case colors and 90% of the original damascus pattern. The barrels are 30" damascus steel and have excellent bores free of any dents, rust,or pits. The barrels have minimum wall thickness of .040" so the gun should be safe to shoot with reasonable loads. The chambers have been professionally lengthened to 23/4".The wood is sound with no cracks or damage, just light handling marks. The stock still retains the original steel buttplate with engraved screws. The barrels lock up tightly with no play at all and the rebounding hammers are strong and original. The chokes are tight modified (.023") and full (.035").This is a great gun for any collection or for fun clays or bird shooting.Extremely hard to find in this condiiton.Classified as an antique so it can be shipped direct.
