#4915, John Dickson & Son, Edinburgh: A Total David McKay Brown Rebuilt 12 Bore Round Action Dickson Made in 1899, It now has a new 2001 set of barrels by David McKay Brown that are 28" Ejector Best Quality Chopper Lump at .725 .016 & .024" (Skt.II & Imp.Mod.), 2 3/4" chambers, Wall thickness .029" on both barrels, Rib extension third bite, London Proved in 2001 at 850 BAR, Double triggers, Splinter forend with an Anson release, Straight hand stock at 14 5/8 x 1 9/16 x 2 1/4" over a checkered butt, Slight cast-off for the right hand, 6 lbs. 7 oz., Very nice wood that was stocked by McKay Brown about 45 years ago which include a new forend at the time and lettered by McKay Brown, 99% of period scroll engraving with a slight bit of Celtic engraving on the trigger plate, 99% case colors and lettered by McKay Brown and all necessary parts re-hardened, 98% blue remains on the barrels with David McKay Brown's name and address on the top barrel rib, The wood finish remains at 96%, The checkering at 100%, The barrels inside and out remain as new from 2001, The engraving was cut up where necessary by Brown and it was regulated and live tested as they do with their new guns. All information was lettered by David McKay Brown Gunmakers. The whole is cased in a well-kept leather trunk with a true vintage trade label. This piece is nearly like buying a new Round Action done by Brown. The round action was born in Scotland in 1887 and remains very alive in the 21st century from the very capable hands of Mr. David McKay Brown.
