Description:
Serial #416, .22 LR, 24" and 16 1/8" barrels. The 24" barrel has a very good bore that has mild freckling along its length, while the 16 1/8" barrel is marked “Junior / No. 922" and has a threaded muzzle with cap, and an excellent, bright bore. The barrels both retain about 90-92% original blue with some minor silvering along the edges. The frame retains a similar amount of the original color case-hardening that has begun fading to gray along the edges. The walnut stocks rate excellent with lovely added varnish over a few scattered surface blemishes on both the buttstock and the respective forends. The longer barrel is equipped with a silver blade front sight and sporting rear, while the shorter barrel has a globe style front sight. Mounted to the upper tang is a Lyman combination rear aperture peep sight. Included is a green canvas hard case which contains: spare muzzle adapters, a set of set screws, and some documentation regarding Hopkins & Allen rifles. This is an interesting two barrel set that is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
