Description:
Serial #28926, 12 Ga., 28" barrels with fair, lightly pitted bores. This is an 1883-made shotgun that has traces of its original twist pattern visible on the barrels, and an overall freckled brown patina throughout. The frame has a mottled, pewter-gray patina with a matching patina on the hammers. The walnut stock and forend are in fair-good shape and have scattered minor handling marks and scratches, as well as some chips missing from the edges of the forend, a larger chip missing from under the right hammer, and a repaired crack through the wrist. The length of pull measures 14 3/4" to the original steel buttplate. The gun has a good lock-up, but the left lock does not stay cocked. This is a fair example of an Underlifter Parker overall.
