Description:
This early 18th century brass hilted sword is 28.5 inches long with curved 23 inch blade. The blade shows many nicks from use, hilt and D guard show several sharp strikes. Traces of maker's marks show on the cleaned blade, a small piece of leather washer remains. The blade shows some pitting and scratches. Brass shows old cleaning and has started to show nice soft patina. A great example of this popular infantry sword.
