Description:
SOLD PENDING FUNDS Colt 1911 commercial pistol manufactured in 1950. The caliber is .38 Super with a 5" barrel. The condition is all original with the finish rated at 97-98%. The wear is along the bottom edge of the slide, high spots and a few handling marks. The blued finish is high polish on the slide and frame with a matt blue finish on the top of the slide and grip straps. The grips are the thermo-set "Coltwood" reddish brown style which is correct for this year and are highly collectable. The later injection molded brown plastic grips are prone to shrinkage. The bore and mechanics are in excellent condition and all the small parts and barrel are period correct. A very desireable and hard to find 1911 variation. A very collectable firearm and great investment.
