The Colt Detective Special (Third Issue) was made from 1972 to 1986. The 6-shot revolvers were fitted with either 2 or 3 inch barrel with shrouded ejector rod, wrap-around checkered wood grips, were blue or nickel finished, and chambered in .38 Special. This 1978 vintage Detective Special is as described, is fitted with a 2 inch barrel and is full nickel finished. It is in excellent original condition, retaining all of its original finish, with some very minor handling marks/surface scratches. Appears to having been shot, but very little from its appearance. The bore looks like new and the action is tight and functions perfectly. Sorry, no box or paper-work.
