Description:
This is a Marlin Model 1893, 38-55 caliber Saddle Ring carbine and I am almost certain it was made post 1898. The serial number is C 293 and the barrel is stamped Special Smokeless Steel. The bore is very good bright and shinny and the mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The barrel retains over 80% blue while the receiver, lever and hammer still has 35-40% silvery case colors. It needs a C&R or FFL to ship.
