Description:
Some ambitious "customizer" took this 1917 and removed all evidence of its government service (no markings on butt or US Property on bottom of barrel). Lanyard hole filled. Patent dates and Smith & wesson DA .45 markings on barrel still there. Has early grooved hammer, but no color there or on trigger. Some slight [pin prick pitting under nickel on right side of frame and recoil fence. New S&W Heritage grips. Bore and internals excellent. This victim needs a loving home, so priced to go.
