Fox Sterlingworth Deluxe in fine, original condition. This gun, SN 122041, manufactured in 1929, carries seldom encountered 32” barrels choked extra full (.044) and Lt. Full (.030) and chambered for 2 ¾” shells with ivory front and center bead sights. The bores are pristine. The barrels are marked Made by Savage Arms Corp. Utica, N.Y., U.S.A. The 1929 date of manufacture is the year Savage bought the A.H. Fox Gun Co. and began production. The gun retains 90% to 95% of its original blue and case colors. The stock has an added recoil pad with a length of pull of 14 ¼”, a drop at comb of 1 ½”, and a drop at heel of 2 ¾”. The stock is in very good condition with sharp checkering. This is, overall, an above average and very attractive Sterlingworth for a vintager that would be at home in the field or duck blind. Buyer pays $48.00 shipping and insurance.
