Description:
Browning Model 1885 High Wall, .30-06, single-shot rifle, with a falling-block action, exposed hammer, gold-colored trigger, a 27-inch, octagon barrel, English walnut stock, checkering, and a Leupold 3-9 scope. Manufactured in 1996 by Miroku for the Browning Arms Company. The rifle is 98 percent, overall. The blued barrel is near 100 percent, with no blemishes or marks of any kind. Engraved on the left side of the barrel is “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.” & “MADE IN JAPAN”. On the right side is “BROWNING MODEL 1885 .30-06 CALIBER ONLY”. All engraving is deep and crisp. The wood stock has a high-gloss lacquer finish, with only a couple very small chips on the right side of stock (see photo). A line on the top of the stock, near the comb, is in the wood and below the finish. The checkering on the stock is deep and crisp with no sign of wear and no scuffs or other marks. The forearm also has a high-gloss lacquer finish, with a couple small scratches on the right side. The checkering is deep and crisp, with a small dent on the right side of the (see photo). The receiver and falling-block lever are in excellent condition, with no marks or signs of wear. The black, rubber recoil is original, unmarred, and labeled “BROWNING ®”.
