Description:
Make a reasonable offer! $1,000 PRICE REDUCTION! This was my grandfathers gun. This rifle was manufactured in 1950 and has a single steel bead sight. The gun has a counter bore barrel and is marked “Made in New Haven Conn. U.S. of America - Winchester proof steel – Winchester Trademark - Model – 61 – 22 L Rifle - FOR SHOT ONLY- The serial number "144359" is stamped on the frame and in front of the trigger guard. The rifle is mounted with a grooved flat bottom forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered steel butt plate.
Condition
Very fine condition with original blue finish on entire gun. There is >95% finish with the only area of blue fading being the loading tube when placed in the extended loading position, when closed the gun looks new. The wood is all original varnish and in very good condition. There are some minor nicks in the wood and one location where the stock is dented (close-up photo provided). The interior of the barrel is bright and clean in bore the .22 and the counter bore.265 sections. Mechanically excellent and would shoot if desired.
