This Winchester was produced in 1951. The shotgun's serial number is 91368. 1951 was the last year that you could order a Cylinder choke for the barrel. This barrel is the 26 inch round barrel style choked Cylinder. The forend is the flat bottom style. The wood has no cracks or damage. The butt plate is original to the stock. The take down feature is tight. The action is tight with no abuse. The original bluing would rate a 95% overall condition. The bore is bright and minty looking. The firearm has not been fired often. This is a very collectable Winchester with a very rare choke. Most standard model 42's were choked Full With Some choked Modified. The Cylinder choke was mostly a special order request. As a plus, this is the last year of this choke's listing. This Winchester certainly will appeal to the serious collector of these models!
