Description:
Winchester Model 21 Field Grade 20 Gauge SxS
RARE 2 TRIGGER, EJECTOR, 6 1/4LB., IC/M, AS NEW!

General Specs: Winchester, Year 1940, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 4oz, Side-by-Side
Serial Number: 15905

Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of far superior strength and mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself.  With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use.   From 1930 to 1980, they only made about 2900 twenty gauge guns in all grades.  Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN.  Most every M21 20ga. you find will weigh between 6 ¾ to 7 1/4lbs. and feel like a heavy target gun, and they do well in that role.  I purposely search out the rare lightweight guns that feel lively in hand and will not drag you down as you traverse hill and dale all day long after upland game with fine dogs and friends.  Here we have the magic Model 21 20ga. upland gun…6 1/4lbs. and double triggers for instant choke choice when the bird flushes.  This gun, sn15905 built in 1940, has been fully restored to perfection and has a very nicely figured factory stock with a superb hand-rubbed oil finish, perfect checkering, perfect mechanics, strong well-timed ejectors, and 100% blue on all metal.  During the restoration process the butt stock was hollowed out to lighten the gun and adjust the balance and dynamics to perfection.  IF YOU LIKE SPLINTER FORENDS, WE HAVE ORIGINAL WINCHESTER M21 SPLINTER FORENDS IN STOCK AND CAN INSTALL ONE ON THIS GUN.  I say this because it would bring the overall weight to 6lbs. and configure the gun to a classic English style field gun.  We could even make it a perfect straight gripped gun and bring the weight to less than 6lbs.!  Of course, the gun is near perfect the way it is and shipped from the factory, so just an idea for those looking for the ultimate M21 bird gun.  Thanks for looking at our fine guns and don’t let this unique M21 slip through your hands.
