Colt 1911
One of my club members has asked us to sell this Colt 1911. This Colt bears serial # 552324, making production circa 1918. We believe the gun to have undergone a re-parkerization at some point several years back. It has been within his family for at least 30 years. Whomever undertook the restoration project did so faithfully and in the correct and scarce 1918 black coloration. The Black finish was according to some historians only tried for a short period of time. The pistols HP marked barrel is in great condition with some frost but still serviceable, the magazine is a government issue note the base plate numbering. This 1911 has a very nice overall condition there was some pitting likely from service life or less than optimal storage but again a quality restoration was accomplished and it will display very well or better yet, shoot maintain and enjoy.
