This is the 'real' CCO. The very first CCO model ever made!
Manufactured exclusively by Colt in 1998 for one year only. It is a very rare pistol. This particular Colt CCO style pistol has reached near cult status.
As an elite personal protection package, this CCO has been expertly crafted by a seasoned Colt gunsmith for reliability. It has been purpose-built for self defense. No need to tune this pistol. It runs!
That said, this gun is completely restorable to its original, collector condition….by using all the original parts that are included. So, either way; collector or carry.
Basically, the CCO is an Officer's frame fitted with a Commander slide. This gives the gun the length of a Commander 7¾" and the height of a Defender 5" which provides the same balanced visual proportions as the 1911 Government model, but in a scaled down version.
It weighs only 26 oz.
This 45 ACP pistol features a commander length, flat-top, matte, stainless steel slide with a 4¼" stainless barrel. It carries a red fiber optic front sight and a serrated black rear sight.
The matte black Officer’s alloy frame has no wear on the slide rails. Some light handling marks to the slide. The grip is a rubberized Crimson Trace (model LG-404) which provides a red laser dot on target in low light and/or awkward positions.
It has a lowered and flared ejection port, adjustable aluminum trigger that breaks crisply at 4.5 lbs, undercut trigger guard, enhanced hammer, solid steel extractor, extended thumb safety and an upswept grip safety.
This 45ACP Colt pistol comes with its original factory case and all its factory paperwork plus the two original flush-base magazines.
I bought this CCO new in 1999 and will include a copy of my purchase receipt.
