DESCRIPTION:
For sale is a RARE Remington Custom Shop version of the 2006 Model 700 CDL SF Limited
in 30-06. This rifle was made for a former executive of Remington Arms in 2006 and features incredible upgraded walnut with cheek piece and ebony forend. Also, included at the executives request is a Stainless Leupold VX-lll Scope (3.5 -10x40) with stainless Leupold mounts. The scope includes Alumina screw in lens covers and protective scope cover. The rifle was test fired by the owner and has been a safe queen ever since. Original factory case and rifle paperwork which notes "VIP" (includes scope paperwork as well) accompanys the rifle. The Model 700 CDL SF Ltd. Anniversary Edition rifle comes with a beautifully engraved floorplate to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the .30-06 Springfield cartridge.
In 2006, Remington honored the 100-year anniversary of the .30-06 Springfield with a Limited-Edition Model 700 SF (Stainless Fluted). These tried-and-true standards for precision and hunting performance join with a stainless steel action and barrel, and a spectacular finished American walnut stock upgraded at the Remington Custom Shop.
The Model 700 has UNRIVALED OUT-OF-THE-BOX ACCURACY. Experienced shooters say the Remington Model 700 rifle is consistently the most accurate out-of-the-box rifle and we agree. Tight chambers completely support the cartridge and align it precisely with the bore, while the cylindrical receiver and unique bedding design force the barrel to come to rest in the exact place every time, maximizing shot-to-shot consistency.
The Model 700 also features what is perhaps the most rock-solid action ever conceived. The famous "three-rings-of-steel" enclose the cartridge case head for unparalleled strength and reliability. And the receiver is machined from solid-steel bar stock to create a rigid, ultra-uniform foundation for the barrel and action. The checkerd bolt handle (another upgrade) makes for a solid grip of the jeweled bolt which works smoothly and ensures a tight lockup.
