Only 2,000 are thought to have been made. Frank Wesson was the younger brother of Daniel B. Wesson, of Smith & Wesson, as well as Edwin Wesson, who was also a highly-esteemed gunsmith in the mid-to-late-1800s. The fame of his family’s name was not lost on Frank, but he was, in fact, a prolific firearms designer and maker in his own right. This pistol features a 3-1/2 inch barrel that begins octagonal and transitions to round at the mid-point. The top of the barrel flat reads “FRANK WESSON WORCESTER MASS./PAT’D OCT 25 1859 & NOV 11 1862”. The overall condition is fine. The original blue finish is 70%. The markings are legible. The rosewood grips are very nice and smooth. The bore is in good condition. The action is excellent. Here is a very nice, scarce Frank Wesson Model 1862! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3-1/2 inches. Caliber: .32 Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE.
