SUPERB PRE WAR GERMAN 8X57JR DOUBLE RIFLE BY ERNST SCHULZ OF SUHL W/ORIG. GERARD LANDLICHT 4X SCOPE. Proof dated Sept. 1930. 23 ½” barrels signed “ERNST SCHULZ/KREFELD-SUHL” and with double leaf rear and ramp front sights. Engraved case colored frame with cocking indicators and side clips. Double set triggers and automatic safety. Checkered walnut stock with cheek rest. Horn trigger guard and tang, horn pistol grip cap and carved basket weave pattern horn butt plate. Length of pull 14 ¼”. Drop 1 ½”, 2 ¼”. Wt. 7lbs., 9ozs. Original Dr. Gerard scope in the original claw mounts. Weight 7lbs., 9ozs. with scope. Little used condition with 99% original blue and 90% color case hardening. Stock and forend with nearly all the original finish and only light use. Mint bores and perfect working order. Scope in working order with clear optics. Exceptional quality and condition.
