Mi-Val  12 Gauge

This beautiful Beretta / Mi-Val 12 gauge hammer double was built under license of Beretta and displays the fine workmanship that one would expect of such a gun. While looking like new, the gun has been fired (very little) and does not come with the factory box. There is one scratch on the right side of the buttstock which is visible in the photo. The stock has been fitted with a Kick-Eez pad, but it appears that the stock has not been cut. The splinter forearm has a push-button release. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches, while the drop at the nose of the comb is 1 1/2" and 2 1/4" at the heel.

At 7 lbs. 4 oz. this gun handles very well with its 28-inch barrels which are choked modified and full with 2 ¾-inch chambers and extractors. Its double bite barrels also feature a Greener crossbolt for added security. The receiver is heavily engraved and the casehardening is simply stunning.

All in all this is a beautiful hammer double and will make a wonderful field gun.

Jabe 16 Gauge

Also available is a sweet little Spanish 16 hammerless double. This one was made in Eiber Spain by Jabe (pronounced hab-vae) and appears to be of early 1960s vintage.

At 27 ½ inches, the barrels are chambered for 2 ¾ inch shells and appears to be choked improved and modified with extractors only. It wears very nice wood with a push-button release of the semi-beavertail forearm. All checkering is crisp and clean. LOP is 14 inches and the drop at the nose is 1 3/4" and 2 3/4" at the heel.

Engraving of the coin-finished receiver is typical of this type of gun, but the whole mechanism is as tight as if brand new. This specimen was actually a show gun used by the importer, Mandalls of Scottsdale, Arizona which accounts for its tightness and very good condition. This little sweetheart weighs in at a mere 5 ½ lbs and is a joy to carry afield.
