Winchester Model 12 28 Gauge Skeet
Offering this Winchester Model 12 28 Gauge for your consideration. The shotgun bears serial # 1234441. This shotgun has been re-blued at some point but it was done very well. Receiver edges and radiuses are not altered from over buffing. The lettering on the barrel is a little blurred. The 26-inch barrel is marked Skeet and 2 7/8 inch chamber. It has had a Simmons donut ventilated rib installed as well as a Lyman Cutt’s system installed. This was a common addition to many “serious skeet guns” back in the day. Both fore end and butt stock are in remarkably great original condition. Action is smooth and the gun runs beautifully. Slide drops smoothly when one presses the disconnect. LOP 14 ½ inches. Red Winchester butt pad likely a reproduction but in excellent condition. The shotgun exhibits very well and would be a pleasure to shoot vintage or pump gun events with.
