S. North U.S. Carbine. 21 inch barrel. Good to very good overall original condition. Inspector stamp on breech behind rear sight deep and sharp. Cartouche on stock behind frame legible and complete. Consistant overall plumb brown color throughout with shallow frosting in some areas. Original slide bar and saddle ring intact. Original ramrod. Stock original and solid. No cracks and or repairs. Fair to good bore with strong lands,but, shallow pitting throughout. Mechanically perfect, missing second trigger guard screw[see photo] A good straight example closing in on two hundred years old.
