This is a very nice rifle. Has been in the field after elk but is in 99.5 percent condition on both wood and metal. Please excuse my photo quality as that is not my area of expertise. Sling swivels have been added but can easily be remove if you don't need them. The .348 Winchester is a significant cartridge with plenty of power for the largest game. It is a perfect elk and moose rifle when hunting them in dark timber. On top of that it packs enough power for a long shot opportunity when it shows itself. The Model 71 rifle was brought back as a limited production item by Browning in 1986-1987 (some 13,000 units produced).
These rifles were built by long time Browning/Winchester partner Miroku and came with holes drilled and tapped in the left side of the receiver for Lyman or Williams aperture sights. You can fold down the barrel mounted open sight and reserve it for back-up.
