This is a very stylish little Ideal in 16G. It has the "Lunette" style trigger release for the barrels.
The right barrel is rifled. My research would seem to indicate this rifling was for shot dispersal at close range; not for use with slugs. Perhaps there is an expert out there.
This appears to be a round action trigger plate design. A rising 3rd bite. The safety is along the triggers. It is an extractor gun. All the case coloring is gone except near the triggers but the gun has a very nice patina. There is a lever forend which works nicely and there is a sling eye on the barrels and a slot for a sling at the bottom of the stock. There is an original horn butt plate with a large M.
This is obviously a high quality firearm in very good condition.....I'm sorry but I just don't know a lot about them. The buyer should know these guns before purchasing. I will answer any questions I can.
