I am not a Garand expert but here is what I can tell you after a few hours of research. First of all this is a very, very nice looking rifle and the bore looks to me to be excellent. It was made in 1944 and the barrel was made in 1958. It is a Blue Sky rifle. There is no Blue Sky problems of deep stamping. I am not expert enough to say if the stock is a Bishop or original. It is however so nice that it has never seen any battlefield action for sure. The metal surface has an excellent finish. I have taken the best photos I can for you to inspect.
