Description:
This Colt New Service Revolver was sold to Jones Hardware Co. and shipped to Schoverling, Daly & Gales, N.Y. N.Y. on Dec. 23, 1921. This information is from a Colt Historical Letter and indicates that the Revolver was a single gun shipment. The guns’ history may be researchable with this information.
Very few Colt New Service revolvers were shipped Nickel Plated and this is one of the few. It wears the original Walnut Grips, another special feature on the N.S. The original Nickel plating remains in excellent condition with very minor scattered handling marks and only a few slight Ni, imperfections. The grips are well matched in Exc. Condition and nicely accent the beautiful nickel. The revolver has been lightly used and cared for as a beautiful gun should be. The bore is Exc. and the action is smooth and tight. It has the early flat latch. Overall the gun is in 95%- 97% condition.
The pictures accurately show it with nothing hidden. You will note that there is some slight discoloration at the base of the trigger. I didn’t notice this until the photos were complete. It was dried dis-colored oil that has since been removed. To be clear there is NO oxidation, rust or pitting anywhere. This is a Rare Colt that would enhance any collection. .38-40 with a 7 ½” Barrel. Serial Number 311697, FFL Required.

SHIPPING:
Normally shipments are made via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail, Insured, with a return receipt. Typical Packing, Shipping and Insurance cost for a handgun is $30.00, and for a Long Gun is $45.00.

Modern firearms, post 1898, can only be shipped to a Type 01 Federal Firearms License address. Curio-Relic firearms, as defined by the BATF list, can usually be shipped to a Type 03 Collectors License address. Some states may have additional restrictions such as CA, CT, DC, IL, NJ and NY.
A signed valid FFL license copy either mailed or emailed will be required for shipment to only the license address.
Antique firearms, pre 1898 do not require a Federal License. For purchase, a copy of a Government Issued Identification (Driver’s License, Etc.), showing date of birth and current address will be required.

These guns are sold for collectors and only represented as used firearms that must be checked by a competent person, observe all the necessary safety precautions prior to attempting to load and fire one of these weapons
RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made. Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded. All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
Sales:
All sales are made with the buyer’s full acceptance of the stated terms of sale. All sales are made in strict compliance with all Federal Firearms Laws. No items contained in thissite are offered for sale where prohibited by any Federal, State or Local laws. By ordering, the buyer certifies that their purchase will be in full compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws. All transactions shall be deemed to occur in Pennsylvania regardless whether by telephone, mail, internet or the physical location of the buyer. All transactions will be subject only to Federal and Pennsylvania State law. Any disputes will be resolved in a Pennsylvania Court.
PAYMENT:
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 3% processing fee. For Visa and MasterCard orders please provide the account number, code number, expiration date, name on card, phone number and card billing address. This information can be phoned in, or E-Mailed. All orders must be paid in advance, C.O.D. orders are not accepted. Checks, both Bank and Personal must clear before the order will be shipped, usually a 2 week delay.
LAYAWAYS:
A 20% deposit is required. Balance is due in 60 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 60 days. Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX:
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyer’s responsibility.
