PARTICULARLY FINE CONDITION 1886 .40-82 OCTAGON RIFLE WITH MINT BRIGHT BORE, FACTORY LETTER, MADE 1890, this rifle is way above the normal condition typically encountered today as it retains almost all the deep barrel blue, fine mag blue with just some thinning/browning mixing toward the muzzle end, mottled gray receiver shows good case color in the most protected areas, exc. blue on the bolt and loading gate, nice light case color on the hammer, original buckhorn rear sight with desirable Lyman folding globe Beech combination front sight, exc. screws and exc. stock and forend showing only light handling with the tiniest of chips at the upper tang/receiver juncture- really minor, very tight action and like-new bore! (NOTE: in muzzle photo it looks like there is a ding in the edge of the octagon, there is NOT, this is just light reflection.)
