Description:
Manufactured in 1921 this Ithaca Double has 28 inch barrels with 2 1/2 inch chambers and is choked full and full. The case colored receiver has an attractive floral engraving pattern and is marked on the watyer-table 1 and 28 denoting the grade and the small frame made for the 28 gauge. The receiver has some of the original case colors on the water-table and other protected areas. The barrels retain most of their original blue and the bore remain bright but have some light pitting in the middle areas of the barrels. The wealnut stock has a small crack behing the top tang, but is sound, and has a 14 inch length of pull over the original butt-plate. We rarely see Ithaca Double's in 28 gauge and they are quite rare with automatic ejectors. This is a chance to own an American made double in a seldom found gauge.
