HIGH STANDARD FIELD KING FK-101 .22LR 4 1/2" TARGET PISTOL WITH HERRETTS GRIPS, CIRCA 1960. Serial number "453XXX. 100% original blue on slide and barrel with crisp factory stamps. Original matte finish on frame with front strap professionally stipled under Herretts custom wood carved target grips for med-large grip hand size. One original factory steel magazine from the period. Custom front ramp sight and aftermarket rear adjustable sight. One or two VERY small scratches from use on slide and some varnish on Herretts grips added for protection but never sanded down so crisp checkering. Probably a tack driver as was cared for and customized by someone who knew what they wanted. Herretts was popular at the same time for making custom grips for all sorts of .22 target pistols.
