CIVIL WAR MANHATTAN AMERICAN STANDARD, NEWARK, N.J. HERO SINGLE SHOT PERCUSSION DERRINGER CA. 1860’S. .34 caliber with longer than usual 4 ½” barrel. Round barrel All brass frame stamped “A.S.T. CO./HERO” on the left side. Walnut grips. Famously known as the “Poor Man’s Deringer”. Working order. Nice metal patina with dark unpolished frame. Original walnut grips in excellent condition.
