CIVIL WAR ERA FACTORY ENGRAVED MANHATTAN PERCUSSION .31 CAL. POCKET REVOLVER CA. 1860-61. 6 shot , 12 stop cylinder and 6” octagon barrel addressed “MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS MFG. CO. NEWARK, N.J.”. All matching serial numbers in the 2xxx range and scarce with only about 3000 made. Large size elongated grip unique to this model Factory scroll engraved frame with underside stamped “PATENTED/DEC. 27, 1859” Wonderful “STAGECOACH HOLDUP” scene. Factory rosewood grips. Fine overall and 100% original with 30-40% blue mixed with patina. Fine engraving and has all the crisp cylinder scene. Working order and fine bore and chambers. Scarce model.
